Personal recommendations for non-bid writers

Do you need a bid writer? Or do you need something/someone else?

I’m often asked if I provide services other than writing bids and tenders (such as transcription, events, marketing, database management etc.) and the answer is generally no.

I do the odd bit of illustration, mainly to keep my hand in, and I will put together presentations and other copywriting  related to the bids I’m working on, but when a client asks for something beyond that then I usually find someone else that I know and trust to put them in touch with.

Here’s a few people I can personally recommend:

Libro Editing – Liz Broomfield offers a tailor-made package of proof-readingcopy-editingcopy-writingtypinglocalisation and transcription services. Her blog is also packed full of tips and advice – well worth a read.

Hatton PA – Rachel Tipping is a former colleague of mine  from my days at WRAP. Her services are ideal for small businesses, startups, entrepreneurs – anyone who needs the all the expertise, common sense and top organisational skills you’d want from a PA – remotely!

Ruth Dale – Freelance Events Manager – Another former colleague from WRAP, Ruth has events management experience within some of the UK’s highest profile companies. She’s now moved over to the dark side (freelancing). Snap up her services before someone else does!
